While I was watching the Colbert Report the other night, they showed the most frightening commercial that I have ever seen. It started out with a couple news clips of the poor economy, natural disasters, high gas prices, and conflicts in the Middle East. It then started showing space weapons that the Chinese have been able to develop. It then cut to a quote from John F. Kennedy, “Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind.” There was a countdown to 2020 and then the commercial showed an atomic bomb go off with a mushroom cloud, the screen went to static, and there was about 30 seconds of dead air.

Well, the creators of the previous Tom Clancy video games are coming out with a World War 3 game and it was released the day after yesterday’s election. It’s called EndWars and depicts the U.S. fighting against Russia and China. You can call it sick and twisted or an incredible attempt to make money, but it looks like the video game may foreshadow the road we are going down.
